Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)

Fire System Design & Compliance Verification

Structured factory acceptance testing for fire suppression system design and compliance. We verify that every system performs to specification before it leaves the factory and reaches your site.

Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) is a critical quality gate in the delivery of fire suppression systems for high-value infrastructure projects. Before a system is shipped and installed, it must be proven to operate correctly against the approved design documentation, cause and effect matrix, and applicable standards.

Our FAT service provides independent, structured testing of fire suppression panels, detection equipment, interface modules, and control logic at the manufacturer's or system integrator's premises. We review the design documentation, verify component specifications, witness functional testing, and issue a formal FAT report acceptable to the end client, insurer, and regulatory body.

For BESS, data centre, and substation projects, FAT is increasingly required by DNOs, insurers, and EPC contractors as a condition of system acceptance. Our engineers are experienced in FAT protocols to BS, IEC, and NFPA standards and can act as the independent witness on behalf of the asset owner or operator.
